Kaitlan and Tonya started Wild at Heart to save wildlife in coastal NC. They specialize in the care of small mammals, reptiles, and all birds- big and small. They have taken the NC rabies vector training courses and hope to be able to rehab those species in the near future (more time and money needed).
Starting a 501c3 non-profit takes a lot of time, effort, and money. Even though we are on a “break” from rehabbing to get our ducks in a row (pun intended), we are rehabbers and the animals never stop coming in. We just can’t say no when we are needed. So please bear with us as we move as fast as possible to get the center up and going.
